What a sweet little lambie Ryder is! I had forgotten how wiggly and squirmy 2 month old babies are compared to newborns - we gave up trying to get him to sleep and eventually he just couldn't hold his eyes open any longer! Here is just a few from this session, starting with my favorite:

I can't say enough about this family - it was so fun to photograph such a loving closeknit family who were up for anything! Their property is absolutely gorgeous and it was nice to get out of the city and spent an evening with them. Thanks so much!

I was lucky enough to spend a morning photographing Miss Kyla. At eighteen days old, she wasn't very sleepy but she was calm and content which made her a dream to photograph. I am so happy to know her and to get to watch her grow. Thanks for the lovely visit and for providing the prettiest little model to practice what I love doing!

Jake - Holiday Mini Session

This sweet little guy was so adorable for his holiday photo's this year! I have never taken winter photo's before so I was nervous but luckily the sun was shining and it wasn't too chilly outside. I absolutely LOVE taking outdoor winter photo's now, especially because I like winter accessories such as hats, scarves, boots, etc. Thanks again for letting me take these!

This is Tyrell. He is 6 months old. And he has the most beautiful big brown eyes! You may recognize from other sessions on my blog that I have shot quite a few times at this location. This location has special meaning to Tyrell's parents as it is the park they got married in and they wanted to share it with Tyrell as well. Tyrell was such a great little guy! I was excited when Jake`s mom asked me to do his 1 year old photos because I knew we could work together to come up with a fun, coordinated shoot! He is so stinkin cute that I had a hard time choosing favorites for the blog - that is why I posted way more than usual! One year ago, Jake entered the world a happy, healthy, perfect baby. Unfortunally, his mom suffered a rare complication during labour which caused her to lose her vision. Thankfully, it returned. I cannot imagine not being able to see my newborn right after birth. He was cute then and just keeps getting more cute! Happy birthday Jake!

Here is my little model from this afternoon - Miss London - busy as could be! She didn't want to look at the camera, as she was too busy picking up little rocks and playing with her toys, and was about had-it with pictures after about 5 minutes! :)

Caramel Salmon | Recipe

A friend of mine gave me this recipe a while ago and I finally made it! This recipe is too yummy to not pass along - it seriously is melt-in-your-mouth delicious! It also is simple, fast, and very nutritious!

Easy Instructions:

Get out a shallow glass pan and put a bit of water in it. Season and salt salmon fillet - I use only salt and dill weed. Bake salmon @ 450 for 15-18 minutes (this is for the one large fillet like the one you buy at Costco) or bake according to package instructions. Do not overbake or it will dry out. Make the sauce: 3/4 cup mayo, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 3 tbsp. soya sauce.

Turn oven off and turn 'broil' on. You may need to move your oven rack up a level. Mix sauce and put on salmon. Broil for 5 minutes. Serve with rice & vegetables &/or salad.

Seriously try this - it is sooo good!

Harlan | Child Session

Oh my! Words cannot describe how CUTE this little guy is! Okay, maybe I am a wee bit biased as he is my nephew! Harlan is now 15-1/2 months old and can run like a thief! I must have looked like a complete fool chasing after him with my camera, but it was so much fun! This little guy is a farmer in training. I am convinced that he owns every piece of John Deere clothing, shoes, decor, bedding, toys, accessories, etc. that John Deere has ever made! He even had a John Deere themed 1st birthday party complete with a John Deere tractor cake and cupcake toppers that were little John Deere hats. Too cute! Hope you enjoy your pictures!

Denaya | Newborn Session

This little dolly was an absolute pleasure to photograph yesterday! Being 25 days old, she was wide awake and very active, so we only got about 10 minutes of 'sleepy' pictures! A while back, I did her moms maternity session, and it was driving me nuts not knowing if it was a boy or girl inside! Well now, the anticipation is over, and the result is gorgeous little (not so little now!) Denaya Mae! :)
